Handmade Soap Kills Covid-19 VIRUS

Coronavirus

A look inside of the Coronavirus AKA Covid-19 Virus

We all know by now that hand washing is extremely important to stop the spread of the Coronavirus, but do you know why? Besides the obvious, that washing our hands stops the spread of the virus - there is some science behind why washing hands is superior to hand sanitizer, or anything else like dipping your hands in bleach - which I do not recommend. The Covid-19 virus or novel Coronavirus, is encased in an outer wall made of a lipid (aka fatty) envelope. This wall can be easily broken down by using other agents that are also lipid in the molecular structure which weakens and destroys the virus. When you use soap and water, you activate soap molecules that have hydrophobic (water-averse) and hydrophilic (water-attracting) properties. This causes the water-attracting parts of the soap molecule to point outward which are then able to dissolve lipids. You don’t need antibacterial soap to remove COVID-19 from your skin, or antiseptic soap for that matter. When you use hand soap and this includes handmade, fancy, cheap, dove, etc, you are breaking this awful virus apart, weakening it, and killing it. So in addition to washing the Covid-19 virus off - it’s actually dying. So wash your hands with soap for at least 20 (slow) seconds, and keep them happy with fun, colorful, and great-smelling suds.
